Watertown Public Schools employs 557 Full-Time Equivalent Educators to support our students. 

  • Administrators include school based leaders like principals and assistant principals as well as distric leaders such as coordinators, directors, and members of the superindents cabinet.
  • Instructional staff includes teachers and instructional coaches.
  • Medical/Health Services is our nursing staff
  • Office/Clerical/Administrative Support includes building and distric tlevel support, as well as Information Services and Technical Support
  • Paraprofessionals are the Instructional assistants that support classroom in both general education and special education
  • Related Service Providers and Other Instructional Support includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologits, Physical Therapy, School Counselors, Social Workers, and Psychologists

2021-2026, WPS saw a 12.5% increase in student enrollment. In that same time period, staffing FTEs have increased by 24.2%.

Watertown Public Schools is committed to hiring high quality staff that is representative of our diverse student body. In the last 4 years, various initiatives have helped support an increase in staff of color across the district:

  • Human Resources attendance at career fairs
  • Partnerships with local colleges and universities
  • In-House teacehr certification support and pathways
  • Future-Teachers club for students
  • Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
