Welcome Back Families!

September 15, 2026

Dear Families,

I am writing to introduce myself as the new Interim Director of Student Services for Watertown Public Schools. It is a privilege to serve this community, and I am looking forward to supporting our students, staff, and families throughout the school year.

My primary focus as I step into this role is to engage with our community, listen to your experiences, and ensure that our Student Services department effectively supports every student. My work will be grounded in three key priorities:
  • Strive to Rebuild Trust: I believe transparency and open communication are essential. My initial goal is to listen broadly to understand the current landscape and establish credibility through consistent, reliable action.
  • Increasing Inclusive Opportunities and High Expectations: I am committed to ensuring that we capitalize on strengths and build on high expectations for all learners, expanding inclusive programming so that every student is supported in an environment where they can thrive.
  • Refining Processes and Procedures: I will be examining our current structures to ensure our departmental processes are efficient, clear, and focused on student outcomes.
I am eager to begin this collaborative work and look forward to meeting many of you over the coming months.

To that end, I would like to invite you to join me at the upcoming SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) meeting on September 16th in the Lowell Commons from 6:30-8:00pm. SEPAC is a vital partner in our district, dedicated to helping build community and supporting families, and I hope to see you there. If you wish to reach out to them directly, please contact them at sepac.watertown@gmail.com.

Thank you for your partnership as we begin this new school year together.

With much warmth,

Kristen Beaupre M.Ed
Interim Director of Student Services
