SY0809-TIP-22: Working with TeacherWeb (Secondary)

Upon completion of this TIP workshop you will have designed and published your own TeacherWeb site that will perform as a virtual extension of your own instructional practices. To meet this goal, we will address the following topics: o Learn how to take advantage of basic and advanced web tools found in TW. o Develop online strategies to communicate instructional, learning and assessment practices via the Internet. o Determine the content needed to enhance the instructional objectives of your virtual classroom. o Research online educational resources. o Experiment with and develop the visual appearance of your web site. o Explore a variety of 3rd party web services that can be used in conjunction with your web site. The core questions we will investigate: - How will I effectively use a website as an extension of my classroom and my teaching? - How will I effectively integrate technology into teaching and learning for my students?
