Historically Speaking

Project Tasks: What You Will Do

This unit will involve a series of tasks to introduce you to oral history and help you build understanding of all the learning goals. You will demonstrate what you understand by completing your final projects.

Before you start....

Your final project will be a multimedia presentation that demonstrates all you have learned. This presentation can be either a PowerPoint slide show or a digital movie. A letter will go home to your parents notifying them about the project and describing what it is you will be doing. Since the final assignment will involve using images, tapes and video of you and the people you will interview, it is necessary to obtain appropriate permission. You wil need TWO forms signed:

You will also need to complete a preplanning worksheet and keep a folder checklist which will help you keep track of your daily progress.

When your project is completed and your presentation has been made, you will be asked to write a letter to your interviewee reflecting on what you have learned.

Sound interesting? It's time to get started!
