    Watertown Middle School Learning Commons


The Watertown Middle School Learning Commons operates on a flexible schedule.  Students can visit at any time during the day to work on projects by themselves, in a small group, or with an entire class.

After school, the Learning Commons is home to the Watertown Middle School Learning Lab.

The Learning Lab is a homework club where students can sign up to receive extra help with WMS teachers.

Borrowing Policy:

Students are encouraged to borrow books from the library for class work or for personal enjoyment. 

There is no limit for the number of  books a student may check out. The borrowing period is three weeks. Print materials must be returned or renewed on or before the due date. Students will not be charged for overdue materials but will be expected tp pay for lost or damaged materials. If materials are not returned by the end of the school year, final report cards and/or schedules may be held.


Computers & Production Equipment:

Learning Commons computers and production equipment are available for student use in the learning commons.  Use of network  services will be granted to students who agree to act in a considerate and responsible manner. Students are expected to follow the District's rules for Acceptible Use pertaining to computer equipment.


Learning Commons Ethics:

Students are expected to demonstrate responsible and respectful behavior while in the Learning Commons. This means being considerate to others and also being kind and considerate to Learning Commons materials and furnishings.
