Mr. Johnson wrote a grant for the iPad and is using is for many different activities! You can watch a video here Week of December 13, 2011 - Jane Evans Students in Jane Evans sixth grade math class have created some very cool math videos to explain and solve math equations and math facts. Week of November 28, 2011 - Dan Skop, Laura Shock, Karen Zawisza, and Sam Morris Students in 8th grade have just finished an excellent project designed to teach them about the Holocaust and choices people make. Students researched the Holocaust and learned about the people of that time. They wrote journal entries as either a victim, perpetrator, bystander or rescuer/resister. Some students used blogs, some voicethreads and some powerpoint presentations to present their journals. Week of November 1, 2011 - Allison Levit ELL Teacher Allison Levit is using Khan Academy to help teach her students about Math. Khan Acadamy is a unique program that allows students to watch math tutorials and take quizes to improve their math skills. There are hundreds of free tutorials on this site. You can learn more by watching this little video: Khan Academy Week of October 24, 2011 - Aviel Valenzuela participate in a creative and unique project. Using Google Voice, he created a phone number and recorded a greeting in Spanish. After his students had written a script in Spanish, they had to call the google number and leave their message in Spanish. The students then got to listen to their messages in class.
