Shamil Tlisov has worked very hard this past month in both Accounting and Economics. As a senior, Shamil has actually improved in class. He is extremely interested in the global economy and how "small" the world actually is.

The student of the month for English this month is a senior in my Period 1 Humanities class: Luke Boyajian. Luke is a likeable and friendly student; he is polite and respectful. He always participates in class discussions. Luke made Honor Roll Third term, which doesn't surprise me, as he has worked hard. As a graduating senior, with the STP finished, he could have sat back on his heels. But not Luke. Congratulations!!

Dina, an independent study student in Advanced Child Development, has worked enthusiastically, diligently and successfully on her assigned projects for this course. As an integral part of the course, Dina has interned at a preschool where she has gained experience and used the knowledge she learned in class. The preschool children have enjoyed her presence this year. Mrs. Hannon

Julie Alhady has been nominated for student of the month in Design. Julie has and continues to demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity and talent for this course. Her techniques with Adobe Illustrator are outstanding. Julie is a pleasure to have in class! The SOM for April from the Spanish dept is Andrew Logan from the Spanish I class.

Andrew has worked hard this year memorizing vocabulary and understanding and applying new grammar rules. He enthusiastically participates in class and is willing to try out the new language learned.

Amanda represents the superlative Wood Shop student. She works with a quiet confidence and attitude, always ready to face any challenges in the fabrication of her projects. While she is very comfortable using the stationary and hand power tools, Amanda is especially fond of the Bosch Cordless Drill. It has been a privilege to see Amanda thrive in the WHS Wood Shop.

Physical Education - Student for the month of April, 2010 ; Tanveer Ahad, a junior in Mrs. Connors' first period physical education class, has been chosen student of the month based on his exemplary performance in class. His positive attitude, attendance, willingness to use time wisely, sense of responsibility, execution of learned physical skills and written knowledge of class materials, has allowed Tanveer to achieve at his potential. It is a pleasure to have Tanveer in class.

The Student of the Month in Health is: Ali Wertheim. Ali is an outstanding student with ecellent class participation skills.

Stephanie is an exceptional student in the Forensic Science class. She has almost perfect attendance, pays attention, always does her work carefully and receives high scores on difficult exams. Way to go Stephanie!

Danielle Vincuilla has brought a great attitude and effort to each Civics class. She was most recently an integral part of research by the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Above all other students, she was engaged and helped make learning about history more engaging and helpful for other high school students.
