Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)

Advisor: Meghan Riling & Kim Gould
The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is a club that meets regularly providing a safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and straight students. The group aims to build a community of belonging and raise awareness of LBGTQ issues around the school.

IDS

Advisor: Kraig Gustafson
The purpose of IDS is to create an open, tolerant, and unique atmosphere where students can study and socialize, can contribute to the community through charity wor, and political and social activism, and promote the ideas of tolerance, equality, self-respect, and respect for others. Membership in IDS isn't exclusive; the group is open to the entire student body--without exceptions--to all those who embrace its ideals.

International Club

Advisor: Nyssa Patten
International Club is a club where students who are interested in international food, people, and issues can get together. We eat international food, make international friends, discuss international topics, and work together to make our community a better place.

Yearbook

Advisor: Ms. O'Grady
Students on the yearbook staff are responsible for all the "nuts and bolts" of the book's publication. Staff members work together to design the cover and pages of the yearbook as well as take pictures, write captions, sell advertisements, etc. To be a member of the yearbook staff, students NEED NOT be seniors! We are always looking for enthusiastic and creative underclassmen to help.

The Raider Times

Advisor: Ms. O'Grady

Students on the school newspaper staff are the couriers of the goings-on in the WHS community. The Raider Times staff members report the school news, review the arts, follow the local sports scene and much more. If you are interested in writing, photography, desktop publishing, current events, online media, and/or business, join our team!
