WPS Science Department Mission

Our goal is to have students develop an appreciation of the natural world while better understanding the world in which they live. All science courses have laboratory exercises, readings, writing assignments, and projects as well as individual and group work. Students are challenged to produce work of high quality and develop critical thinking skills while working in a safe and collaborative manner. Good behavior and the ability to follow directions are important aspects of work in the science classroom.

Science

Semi does great work in the Astronomy Class. He asks provocative questions and causes other students to wonder about our Universe. He is a student that reads Astronomy articles and watches Astronomy documentaries outside of class and then drops by during his free time to discuss them with me ... M. Petricone

Semi is not satisfied to just discuss todays topic in class. He often wants to go further and discuss the ideas that he has always been curious about. He is a real Science person ...Semi is searching for thr Truth.
