Program Information

The Watertown Public Schools Athletics Program is dedicated to promoting physical fitness for our young people. In addition to the regularly scheduled physical education classes, a comprehensive extracurricular program of sports is conducted during the entire school year.

Watertown competes in the Middlesex League. During the fall, there are teams in football, soccer, cross-country, field hockey, and golf. In the winter, there are ice hockey, basketball, wrestling and track teams. In the spring, there are baseball, outdoor track, softball, and tennis teams. All students are encouraged to participate in one or more of these athletic sports.

"I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity Watertown has given me with taking the lead of their program. Watertown has a strong tradition of success in many of their programs which stems from its great coaching lineage, sustained parental support, and dedicated student - athletes. Congratulations to the girls' field hockey and boy's basketball teams for their great accomplishments".

Jim Travers, the Watertown golf coach of 29 years, couldn't help but crack a smile, but Frankian remained calm. She doesn't rattle easily, and after all, she's done it all before.
