Math Workshop Pages to Support Think Math

The student work sheets on this site are intended to provide additional support to students in math. Each chapter includes a "Lesson Plan" or list of work sheets for each day's lesson.  The work sheets are in PDF format, to facilitate access, downloading, and printing.  I use these pages to preview with my students the lesson that the class will be taught that day.  I’ve tried to build in scaffolding to support student success, and to provide practice for the key skills that will be taught in the Think Math lesson.

Each lesson's Headline Story has been modified to assist students in beginning the activity independently. Usually, the next few work sheets of each lesson teach the skills that are normally taught during the whole class, teacher-led, warm-up activities. My students often have difficulty being attentive during this kind of classroom instruction. By providing them with a modified visual activity, I hope to compensate for this weakness.

At the bottom of each page is the Grade level Outcome (GLO) that I think best represents the skill.
